Last month, the Ford Lincoln Technician Recognition program, Top Techs, celebrated 1st Time Senior Master Technicians with an all-inclusive trip to Huntington Beach, California!

To achieve the Senior Master Technician certification, one must complete all required courses for each category—engine, drivetrain, and chassis. In addition, one must have worked as a technician at a Ford or Lincoln dealership for a minimum of five years.

Once those requirements are met, the technician is rewarded with a lapel pin and magnet, a trophy or plaque, an annual recertification ingot, a challenge coin, AwardHQ points, or, as with this year's Huntington Beach trip, a celebration trip to a resort destination!

Most technicians choose the resort destination trip as it is a once-in-a-lifetime experience to meet other Ford technicians around the country for a few days of fun and relaxation.

This year, over 400 technicians chose the trip and were able to bring one guest with them to stay at the Hyatt Regency in Huntington Beach, California.

On the first day, guests were greeted at the resort with a welcome dinner. The next day was packed with activities, including several business presentations. During these, they heard from different Ford Executives and discussed hot topics in the industry. After the presentations, the technicians were welcomed to introduce themselves and raise questions about what was discussed.

Later in the day, the real fun began! Ford Lincoln Top Techs organized a scavenger hunt around the resort for technicians and their guests to participate in, or they could simply enjoy the resort, beach, and scenery.

The day ended at the Marconi Automotive Museum. Technicians and their guests enjoyed a special dinner while exploring the different vehicles on display there.

The final day of the trip was all fun and no work! Technicians and their guests had their choice of activity. They could choose between the Coastal Brewery Tour, the Hoku Nai'a Catamaran Cruise, Whale Watching, or a trip to Disneyland before returning to the hotel for the farewell dinner.

There are many rewards and benefits to becoming a Ford or Lincoln Technician. Achieving 1st-time Senior Master Technician status is just one of the many milestones. The Ford Lincoln Top Techs Rewards program goes above and beyond to help technicians celebrate their accomplishments.
